CHOC Research Day 2022, a free virtual webinar, will focus on how computing and data science offer solutions to pediatric challenges. The ubiquity of data has created unprecedented challenges and opportunities in research, clinical care, and statistics.
The annual event is set for 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wed., Nov 16. Click here to register.
This year’s symposium, as always, will bring together researchers, clinicians, staff, computer and data scientists and students to share their knowledge, research, and experience.
Data science is an intrinsically interdisciplinary field with the potential for wide-reaching, scalable impact, and the CHOC Research Institute has been on the cutting edge of increasing access to data science across our campus and beyond.
Featured speakers will include Dr. Kenneth Grant, pediatric gastroenterologist, CHOC; Dr. Daniel Shrey, pediatric neurologist, CHOC; Dr. Pierangelo Renella, pediatric cardiologist, CHOC; Dr. Peter D. Chang, co-director for the Center for Artificial Intelligence in Diagnostic Medicine, UC Irvine; Olena Vaske, PhD, assistant professor of Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology, UC Santa Cruz; Dr. Tallie Z. Baram, professor, Pediatrics, Anatomy and Neurobiology, Neurology, Physiology and Biophysics, UCI School of Medicine; Annie Qu, PhD, chancellors professor, UC Irvine; Adrianne Alpern, PhD, pediatric psychologist, CHOC; and David Talby, PhD, chief technology officer, John Snow Labs.
