CHOC Children’s President and CEO Kimberly Chavalas Cripe has been elected to the board of trustees of the Children’s Hospital Association. She will begin her term on January 1, 2015.
Cripe brings more than two decades of health care leadership experience to the board, including serving as CHOC’s president and CEO since 1997. She served two terms as the board chair for the California Children’s Hospital Association, advocating for critical funding for the state’s children’s hospitals. Cripe has served on the board of trustees for both the California Hospital Association and the Hospital Association of Southern California. On a national level, she was a board member for Child Health Corporation of America.
“I look forward to bringing my experience and vision to the Children’s Hospital Association’s board of trustees. I am excited to collaborate with other children’s hospital leaders across the country, working on solutions to our common challenges in improving health care for children,” said Cripe.
