Every year, CHOC Children’s physicians, nurses and staff have the privilege of caring for 250,000 children and teens from Orange County and beyond. In 2016, we broke ground on our mental health inpatient center, the first of its kind of Orange County. We launched an expansion to our neonatal intensive care unit to increase the number of private rooms available to newborns and their families. Three community practices— approximately 50 pediatricians—joined the CHOC Children’s Network to advance pediatric care in our community. We were honored to be recognized in eight specialties by U.S. News & World Report, as well as the only hospital on the West Coast to be named a Top Hospital by The Leapfrog Group for safe and quality care. Here we share just a few highlights of CHOC’s year in 2016. We look forward to serving your family and our community in the years to come.
